Challenge: W is for Wallis

Last Tuesday, Ulta had a one day beauty deal featuring Butter London. Butter London is a Seattle based nail polish brand that I have been wanting to try for awhile now. In a recent (note: amazing) trip to Seattle this summer, I passed by a nice and big Butter London store at Sea-Tac Airport, but, unfortunately, could not shop in. It was late in the evening when we first landed and on our trip back it was very early in the morning and involved long lines, no-fly snow globes, and rushing to our amazingly on time flight. So..No nail polish souvenirs for me. But, this is better! I used a gift card I had and got two for the price of one! Wallis is the name of one of them. To be honest, tt's really the only reason I bothered going to the sale at all.

Do you see why? It's gorgeous and all glow-y and green. Excuse the weird bumps on some nails. Lately, my base coat or top coat has been bubbling on me and ruining my manicures! Since I was too lazy and reluctant to take this off after a couple days, I figured I'd layer a glitter over Wallis to cover up the ugly bumps. Here is OPI Glow Up Already!, from last Winter's Burlesque collection, over BL Wallis.

I took a picture in natural light so you can see all the colors in this glitter. It does look a little odd in these macro pictures, but in real life it was very shiny and blingy. I tried conveying that in the first pictures to show just how sparkly and almost jewel-encrusted my nails looked.

Final thought: Why is Butter London not called "Butter Seattle"?
